Well. That wasn't expected, not in the least. Not that she was upset over it at all. She had missed this part of their relationship just as much as the friendship part. "It's ok," she said with a smile, feeling her cheeks pink up. She went with her own impulses and brought their bodies back together in a tight hug. She buried her face in his neck, "I missed you."

Severus' heart was beating faster than normal, the adrenaline that had made him impulsively kiss Dora still rushing through his veins. And then she said the words that he had been thinking for a long time now. She hugged him and he wrapped his arms around her in return. She was warm against his body and their closeness only increased that warmth. "I missed you too, Dora. A lot. I'm so sorry I was such an idiot. I'll never put you through that again."

She squeezed him a bit tighter and then pulled back slightly, keeping her arms around his neck. "I believe you," she said with a nod and then kissed him. Had she been a bystander, she would have laughed at the melodramatic situation, but as it were she was involved in the situation and that made it very serious for her.

He pulled back slightly and just looked at her for a moment. She was gorgeous in the scattered light beneath the canopy of trees. "We don't have to get the Wintergreen now, Dora. Let's wait. It'll give us another reason to break school rules," he said teasingly. And another reason to sneak off with Dora and be alone.

'You know I'm always up for rule breaking,' she replied still holding onto him. She hadn't stopped smiling since he had kissed her and wasn't sure when she would. Maybe not for a while. 'What do you want to do instead?' she questioned.

He tilted his head down to look at her, his big nose touching her small one. His hands fingered the pleat at the back of her shirt as he stared happily into her smiling eyes. "First I think I need to take these plants back to my room before I sit on them and ruin them. Or something like that." Severus was somewhat known for his poor luck, and squashing the plants he'd waited so long to obtain would be in perfect keeping with that.

Dora chuckled at his comment. He certainly was a clumsy one.
"Whatever I like, huh?" she asked with a mischevious look, "Sounds like a plan to me." She released his neck and worked one of her hands into his. "Let's go then, come on." She said with a bit of a bossy air to her tone.

"Uh oh...I knew I shouldn't have given you the option of anything," he teased. Severus would, of course, be up for anything she suggested. He simply wanted to please her, and he knew her well enough to know that the worst she could come up with would be fairly safe. And pretty much anything she could come up with be outside of his comfort zone, so that didn't really matter to him anymore.
He closed his hand over her dainty one and swung it back and forth as they walked through the woods to the open lawns of the school grounds. The sun was still just as bright now as when they had gone in and Severus had to use his free hand to shade his eyes from the light. "Merlin why is it so bright?" he asked, mostly to himself. "I'll never understand why you like it out here so much." He winked at Dora, only meaning half of what he said.
They made it to the castle without interruption, and had a similar journey once inside and on their way down to the Slytherin dungeon. Severus gave the password and the entrance appeared. True to their form, many Slytherin students were lurking in the dark common room looking like they were up to something. Severus paid them no mind as he guided Dora by the hand down the stairs to the boys dormitory, stopping at the door to the fifth years' room. He made a face as he heard voices on the other side of the door, but went ahead and opened the door. There was a group of boys, some fifth years and some older, sitting about the beds chatting.
