Relaxing After Class « Thread Started on Aug 18, 2009, 9:37pm »
Alice settled down into an arm chair by the fire. For the first time in a long time, she was able to relax. All her homework was finished. She had just gotten back from her last class of the day, and there wasn't homework to be spoken of from today. She smiled to herself and sighed, sinking into the chair a little further.
She liked just relaxing. She was able to think about what she wanted to think about, rather than her school work. She was able to just sit and do nothing if she wanted to. Which, of course, is what she wanted to do. Alice was sure, however, that something would go wrong and she wouldn't be able to relax. She was afraid she would remember some piece of homework that she hadn't finished, or some other students would cause a ruckus in the common room, as usual. However, James Potter and Sirius Black were on the Quidditch Pitch, so she didn't have to worry about too much ruckus, even if there were first years around.
Alice glanced around the room, saw nothing interesting, and closed her eyes, a smile still resting on her face. Relaxing was one of her favorite things to do.

Hestia didn't know why she went outside after seeing so many Slytherins hanging out on the grounds. How silly it was of her not to know what was going to happen. The moment she found a nice place to sit and relax under the shade of the large oak tree, they started in on her. Two girls came over to her and started to taunt her about her name calling her pestia instead of Hestia. This she didn't mind so much because it was a stupid name, and not the least bit insulting to her, but when it didn't seem to be getting to her the two boys who were outside came over once of them sat down next to her, while the other stood in front of her. Hestia knew nothing good was going to come of this so she held felt in the pocket of her robes for her wand.
The boy sitting next to her grabbed her hair and started playing with it. While the boy in front of her made sniffing noises. She was pretty sure what was coming so she simply waited. Then sure enough it was "I smell a nasty lion in our midst," That was all she had to hear. No matter what they thought of her Hestia was the smartest witch her age. Her wand flew out into the open, the boy sitting next to her got an elbow to ribs, while she was busy keeling over Hestia pointed her wand at the two girls and sent them falling on the floor hard. Then she rose and stood face to face with the boy who called her a mud blood. Looking around at the destruction she caused she asked him "Hmm, I may be a Gryffindor but who just kicked your friends butts." While he was busy pondering that Hestia took the opportunity to punch him dead in the mouth.
She didn't bother to stay and wait for what was to come instead she jetted out of there as fast as she could. Running straight into the castle, she only stopped when she was a floor below the Gryffindor common room. Her hand was throbbing like mad, but she didn't care because it was well worth it. That nasty little Slytherin. Making her way back to the room Hestia gave the password which allowed her access and simply walked dazed to the chair by the fire not even realizing that someone else had already been sitting in it. Jumping back up she looked down "Oh boy Alice I'm so sorry I wasn't watching what I was doing" Hestia started to blush feeling highly embarrassed.

((OOC : did you change your charry bio? because i thought you had said that Hestia's parents work for the Ministry?...tell me if i'm wrong...because i very well could be...but you might wanna check?))
Alice, who was normally pretty quiet, was not watching what was going on in the common room at this moment. Normally, because of what had happened with her sister, she watched everyone and everything that she could keep her eyes on. But because she was trying to relax, she had closed her eyes. Boy, was she sorry. She knew she wouldn't be able to relax too long, knowing her fellow Gryffindors, but she wasn't expecting someone to sit on her. Before she opened her eyes, she sighed, trying not to get too angry. "Use your eyes, why don't you!" she said, then regretted it because she didn't know who she was yelling at in the first place.
Snapping her eyes open, she saw Hestia, a fellow fifth year classmate, standing a few feet away, looking embarrassed. She gave a small smile. "Ohh, Hestia, its just you. I thought it was a few of the seventh years messing with me again. They came over and sat on the arm of my chair the other day and started playing with my hair while I was trying to think. I couldn't tell if they were just messing with me or what. But don't worry about it. I should have been watching to warn you. You alright?"
Alice knew something was up. Hestia didn't go around accidently sitting on people unless she was really distracted. And knowing the school, there was something going on with Hestia. There were too many at Hogwarts that had conflict with each other for there not to be something going on. Being Gryffindors, Alice and Hestia were always getting into a riff with someone. Whether it be over a Quidditch match that they won or lost, or something involving a Slytherin, someone was always mad at the Gryffindors.

Hestia was so very sorry that she ran into the common room the way she did. She was so angry, trying to get away from those nasty little snakes that she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing. For pity's sake she went and sat one someone. That's how out of it she was, she literally sat on someone who does that. Hestia knew she never should have allowed those snakes to get to her, but they did. Part of her never understood why they had to be so nasty to everyone that wasn't in their own house, so many other students she was friends with complained about the same exact thing. Hestia didn't waste her nights trying to figure it out, but she did wonder from time to time.
Lucky for her Alice wasn't going to hold it against her. She was actually pretty cool about after she realized that it was Hestia who sat on her she calmed down. Hestia was embarrassed but she didn't feel so bad at this point. "Oh please don't apologize to me I was just racing in here not looking where I was going. Had a bad afternoon."
Alice asked her if something was wrong. "Yeah I just had a run in with some Slytherins, sometimes I think that house is totally out of control, they do their best to make everyone else miserable. I mean I was just minding my own business and they started in on me. I'm just glad I'm not a pushover, I managed to hex them and then punch the ring leader in the face, so I raced back inside the school before they could retaliate. I just hate them sometimes, wrong as it sounds. Sorry to dump all this on you. I'm just so pissed." She sat down on the arm of the chair trying to calm herself down.
